The MAHAMS Annual Maintenance Conference will be held at the Resort and Conference Center at Hyannis. The conference begins Sunday morning with the Annual David Barss Memorial Golf Outing. This fundraiser allows MAHAMS to present three significant scholarships to our member’s children and grandchildren. The Golf Outing is sponsored by many generous individuals and companies that help us achieve our fundraising efforts.

On Sunday evening, a special invited guest speaks to the membership about the current state of public housing from both a state and federal perspective. The President of Massachusetts NAHRO, Richard Leco was this year’s guest speaker. On Monday and Tuesday a number of expert panels are held on a wide array of maintenance topics. This year some of the topics included: OSHA 10 Hour Course (sponsored by ARS Restoration Services), Bidding Procedures for Construction Costing between $25K to 100K, a course on Kitchen Appliances, Modernization Close-out Procedures, Bed Bug solutions, REAC Preparation and Inspections Seminar, Make Ready Maintenance, Rinnai Heating Solutions, Symmons Valves, Electrical 101, and a Course on State Retirement and Social Security.

The Annual Maintenance Conference provides many opportunities for housing maintenance personnel to attend a number of vendor demonstrations and learn about equipments and products first hand.
