MAHAMS sponsors a number of one day clinics on timely topics for public housing maintenance workers. Many local housing authorities in Massachusetts have a part time Executive Director and a part time maintenance person. The Shirt Sleeve Clinic allows you the opportunity to network with other local authorities and learn about a variety of subjects including but not limited to: boiler maintenance, carpentry, electrical, grounds, plumbing, and tub/tile repairs. We frequently bring in specialized vendors for training as well as DHCD personnel to answer important questions. The cost to attend a clinic is $35 and includes a prepared lunch. The clinics are rotated to various parts of the state to allow regional training for our members.

The next Shirtsleeve Clinic will be held in October 2010 at the Greenfield Housing Authority.
